Battle of the Immortals: More about PetsAmong all of the cool features in Battle of the Immortals from the highly coveted Soul Gear to the upgradable mounts, my favorite feature has to be the pet system. It might be easy to overlook something that has become a common feature in most MMOs, but Battle of the Immortals has a great twist. Any monster that you can find in the game, EVEN BOSSES, can become your pet! See a cool monster that you want as a pet?
Once you defeat a monster, there is a small percentage that it will "drop itself." If successful, the monster will reappear and when you mouse over it, a lasso icon will appear. At this point, there is a 100% success rate to make the monster your pet. You begin with only three pet slots, but this can be expanded later in the game or you can release previous pets to free up space for that ultimate pet.
Xarfox did a great introductory post on Mounts and Pets in Battle of the Immortals, which you can find here, and this post goes into a bit more depth on what you can look forward to in the pet system.
Below you can find the stats that come with each pet, so not only will there by hundreds of monsters you can capture as pets, but there are also different qualities and moods you can get.
Level: This is especially important as once a pet is higher level than you, it does not gain EXP
Quality: Based on the quality: Common, Great, Amazing, Superb or Perfect, the better percentage it will grow each time the pet levels
Common: Normal growth
Great: Bonus 3% growth
Amazing: Bonus 6% growth
Superb: Bonus 12.5% growth
Perfect: Bonus 25% growth
Mood: Like people, pets can have different moods, but only with boosts.

Reckless: Increases Critstrike rate by 3%
Excited: Increases physical attack and magic attack by 5%
Cowardly: Increases physical defense and magic defense by 10%
Calm: Increases Max HP and Mana by 10%
Battle of the Immortal's pet system gives completing quests a whole new dimension. Not only am I completing quests like killing monsters to gain experience or equipment, but also for a chance to gain an awesome pet. Sometimes after I've completed a quest, I'll go back or continue killing a specific monster just to try to get them to drop themselves. Even humanoid monsters drop themselves, which is especially fun when you can rename them things like Coco, Jason 2.0 or Hungry Jack. I even have a mini Spartan Warrior named Mini Me!
